Aurelien Debat was born in France in 1979. He lives and works in Marseille. After graduating in illustration at Les Arts D coratifs in Strasbourg, he wrote and illustrated children’s books. In his more recent work, D bat uses printed images, volumes, installations, objects and toys to explore the relationship between design, architecture and illustrations. His Stampville project proposes a whole set of ready-to-stamp adventure pictograms, buildings and urban elements: a graphic alphabet allowing the user to build real or imaginary cities.
